Over 34 years with the Palm Beach County School system, she profoundly impacted countless students as a music educator, culminating in her recent retirement. Her contributions extended beyond the classroom; she serves as conductor of the 4th and 5th grade Treble Choir and Treble Ensemble for The Young Singers of The Palm Beaches and directed the Inner City Youth “Getting There”, Inc. summer program for 31 years. Simultaneously, she provides private vocal instruction, preparing students for auditions and performances.

Terrion’s talents extend to her own musical career. She is a celebrated recording artist, having released both an R&B and a Gospel album, the former receiving airplay on over 90 US radio stations. Her Gospel album, "I Yield," earned her the Gospel Music Artist of the Year award for two consecutive years from the Gospel Music Guild of South Florida. Known affectionately as the “Songbird of Palm Beach County,” she is a sought-after performer for various events across the US, having even toured South America. Recent highlights include a leading role in a community play and opening for nationally acclaimed gospel artist Tasha Cobb at the Raymond F. Kravis Center.

Her dedication to education has been recognized through numerous accolades, including Teacher of the Month from the Raymond F. Kravis Center, a nomination for the William T. Dwyer Award, and the West Palm Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta’s Women of Excellence Award. Ms. Nelson's impact stems from a deep-seated desire to inspire students, fostering self-belief and the discipline needed to achieve their goals. She aspires to create a lasting legacy of giving and mentorship.

A proud graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a B.S. in Music Education, Ms. Nelson held the title of Miss FAMU. Currently, she is focused on releasing her upcoming single, "Grace," and developing a one-woman show for 2024. She is a devoted wife, mother of three musically and artistically talented children, and grandmother of two.
